Spring Creek, Valley View, Texas

​Location: Spring Creek runs past the town of Valley View and crosses I-35 just south of town. Access the creek at any public bridge crossing.

What you can find: Assorted ammonite fossils, including Eopachydiscus, Mortoniceras, and Idiohamites species.

Locality Type: Creekbed

Equipment Needed: Rock hammer, specimen bags

Additional Information: The formation is Duck Creek, and the age is Lower Cretaceous.
