Lake Texoma Dam and Spillway, Texas

​Location: The dam and spillway are about an hour north of Dallas, just above Denison, TX. From the parking area by the dam, walk west along the lake shore.

What you can find: In the soft marl layers, look for shark's teeth, oysters, and other shelled fossils. In the white limestone, you will find quite large ammonites.

Additional Information:  Cretaceous era, Duck Creek formation.
